The queen is in great company on Born With The Blues. Her knights of the blues roundtable include, fellow Cannonball Records artist (and Detroit legend) Johnnie Bassett, making his guitar strings smoke. Ron Levy and Bill Heid providing super-hip direction and keyboard skills. Also, Sirs Keith Kaminski and Dwight Adams (no relation) chip in sensational horn solos and cool section parts. Last but not least, there's swinging drummer R.J. Spangler, who brought together the blues revue that tore up the Montreaux/Detroit Jazz Festival, exposing Adams to yet another generation of fans. Long may she mess around with the blues
